What to Expect:

1. Free quote and site assessment. We'll visit your property, evaluate the existing conditions (or the planned grade change), measure the wall run, and give you a clear, firm quote.

2. Demo and removal. If we're replacing an existing wall, we handle full demolition and material removal. Concrete and block debris are hauled off your property.

3. Excavation and footing. Every retaining wall starts below grade. We excavate to the proper depth, pour a concrete footing sized to the wall height and load, and allow it to cure before building up.

4. Wall construction. We form and pour poured concrete walls or set concrete block walls course by course, using rebar reinforcement at intervals appropriate to the wall height and soil pressure. Taller walls and walls holding back heavy soil loads require more reinforcement, and we don't shortcut it.

5. Drainage. Proper drainage behind a retaining wall is what determines whether it lasts 5 years or 30. We install drainage aggregate, filter fabric, and weep holes or French drain pipe as required by the site conditions. Hydrostatic pressure behind an undrained wall is the number one cause of premature retaining wall failure.

6. Backfill and grading. Once the wall is built and drainage is in place, we backfill with compacted material and grade the area above and below the wall to direct water properly.

7. Cleanup. We clean up the work site and leave your property clean when the job is done.
